NT2 method for MBO-education and intermediate-level learners

With In zicht, you take the important step from NT2 level A2 to B1. This is the level required, for example, to enrol in an MBO-education programme or to work in a profession at this level. It is also the level required to take the Dutch as a Second Language State Examination, Programme I (Staatsexamen NT2 Programma I). The book is also suitable for highly educated learners who prefer a step-by-step approach with plenty of opportunities for repetition.

New material, familiar approach

In this revised edition of In zicht, you work with updated material while following the familiar structured approach: you progress from explanations and guided exercises to more open-ended activities. In this way, vocabulary, language functions and grammatical structures are introduced and practised in a variety of ways.

Focus on language functions and the NT2 State Examination Programme I

The eight themes focus on language used in everyday life, covering topics such as the past, the future, leisure time, finances, education, work and social contacts. Each theme also provides practical information about life in the Netherlands. In the theme ‘Work’, for example, you will find tips for job interviews. In ‘Education’, you will learn about internships and choosing a study profile.

The language functions covered in the book closely reflect the speaking and writing tasks in the NT2 State Examination Programme I. You will practise skills such as asking questions, giving advice and instructions, expressing your opinion and stating your preferences.
