DISK - NT2 method for ISK (0-B1)
DISK is a digital NT2 method for students in the international transition class (ISK). The method supports foreign-language students from beginner level to B1 and combines teaching materials, exercise programs, and language support in a single learning environment.
DISK is an all-in-one ISK method: with an integrated multilingual dictionary, a pronunciation trainer, and a grammar trainer. The NT2 method contains 20 themes that are offered at three levels—beginner, intermediate, and advanced—making differentiation within groups with interim intake possible.

Why DISK as an ISK method?
With DISK, you are choosing a communicative and task-oriented NT2 method for students in international transition classes (ISK) who enter at different language levels.
DISK has a thematic, course-based structure. Themes such as falling in love, social media, arguments, rules, and friendships appeal to young learners.
The fully digital ISK method works towards the A2 and B1 exit levels. In this way, DISK supports schools in achieving the language levels required for progression to further education.
Structure of the DISK method
Each theme in DISK consists of a fixed number of components. This clear structure helps ISK students to work independently and purposefully on their NT2 development:
- Start: introduction to the theme and vocabulary
- Resources: listening and reading texts that provide vocabulary in context
- Building blocks: exercises to sharpen vocabulary. The student receives automatic feedback.
- Tasks: assignments to actively engage with vocabulary, such as presentation, free writing, and collaborative tasks. The student receives feedback from the teacher via an internal messaging service, or simply live, in class. The student concludes with a Final Assignment.
- Test: this test tests the vocabulary of the topic.
Differentiation in ISK with DISK
The ISK has a continuous intake and large differences in language levels. Students start at different times and work towards different language levels. Differentiation is therefore essential in NT2 education.
With DISK, working with heterogeneous groups is entirely possible. Each theme is developed at three levels—beginner, intermediate, and advanced—allowing students within a single class to work on the same theme at their own language level.
In the digital learning environment, students work independently on assignments with immediate feedback. At the same time, the method offers space for classroom instruction and joint activities. In this way, DISK combines individual progress with collaborative learning.

Veelgestelde vragen over DISK
