Communicative and task-oriented online method Dutch for students in international transition classes. DISK is all-in-one: a teaching method from 0 to B1, a dictionary in many languages, a pronunciation trainer and a grammar trainer. There are 20 topics offered at three different levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced. That's convenient with intermediate intakes and all those different levels in one group!

Why DISK?

With DISK you choose a communicative and task-oriented method Dutch for students in international transition classes, who are at different language levels. DISK has a thematic cursory approach. Themes such as falling in love, social media, arguments, rules and friendships appeal to the young learner. The fully digital method works through to attainment targets A2 and B1.

Structure

Each theme has a set number of components, and this structure is great for the young learner:

Start: introduction to the theme and vocabulary
Resources: listening and reading texts that provide vocabulary in context
Building blocks: exercises to sharpen vocabulary. The student receives automatic feedback.
Tasks: assignments to actively engage with vocabulary, such as presentation, free writing, and collaborative tasks. The student receives feedback from the teacher via an internal messaging service, or simply live, in class. The student concludes with a Final Assignment.
Test: this test tests the vocabulary of the topic.

Differentiate

Do you have continuous intakes? Students with different language levels? No problem with DISK. Each theme has been worked out on three different levels, so you can still work together on the same theme with a heterogeneous group. In the digital learning environment they can work on the assignments and in class you can work together.

Insights

The progress screen allows both teacher and student to monitor progress. This gives you insight into what your students are doing and how they are performing.

With additional modules for pronunciation, grammar and reading, as a teacher you have the opportunity to arrange a customized learning path for your students.

Workbooks

Need a break from the laptop? With the DISK Task Workbook, students can also complete the online tasks and worksheets in class. Great for computer-less classes! In addition to the task book, there is a separate Word Practice Book, with which topic words can be practiced even more.

Experiences

A very pleasant method, built according to the ABCD model. The themes are diverse and adaptable to the level of the individual student. In addition to the themes, there are lesson ideas and extra exercises in grammar, pronunciation and reading.
