In vorm
Simple basic grammar
Grammar is doing
Grammar is doing! That was the starting point in developing In vorm. Unlike classical grammar methods, with In vorm you not only learn to understand grammar rules, but you also practice the rules directly in everyday situations. The student learns to use and recognize the rules properly and more confidently when reading, listening, writing or having conversations by themselves.
Natural process
In vorm follows the natural process of learning a language. You start with sentences of two words that are progressively expanded with words of place and time, and a second verb. Then you move on to compound sentences and the past tense.
Step-by-step approach
The book contains 33 chapters, each with a clear explanation of the rule, after which you get to work step-by-step with many different exercises and forms of work; there is a wealth of pictures, drawings, picture stories, flashcards, texts and language riddles. In form goes far beyond the standard fill-in-the-blanks exercises: you will be speaking, writing, listening and reading, and working together!
“See, recognize, imitate, simple do it yourself, free do it yourself: learn the rules and apply them immediately!”

Training for teachers
Are you interested in a training course on this modern, stimulating grammar method? Author Sandra Duenk takes teachers through the didactic background: the step-by-step process of moving from guided to free exercises, the importance of repetition, and the power of audio and visual material. After completing the training, it will be clear how the method can be used in practice, and teachers will be inspired to start teaching their lessons using a range of new methods from the books.
