Jeanine de Bruin is bioloog en milieukundige en gespecialiseerd in interactieve wetenschapscommunicatie. Haar bedrijf Hakuna Matata, science & media, een communicatiebureau dat is gespecialiseerd in het faciliteren van een dialoog tussen wetenschap en samenleving, maakt onder meer video’s over wetenschappelijk onderzoek voor universiteiten, belangenorganisaties en gezondheidsfondsen. Daarnaast geeft ze al vijftien jaar communicatie- en mediatrainingen aan wetenschappers van Nederlandse universiteiten.

Jeanine de Bruin is a biologist, environment specialist and the founder of Hakuna Matata, science and media, a communications agency that specializes in facilitating dialogue between science and society. She develops and provides training courses for researchers who want to improve their communication and managerial skills. She is also involved in educational reform and supervises Master’s students who are specializing in project management or scientific communication. She has conducted research into patient communication via the Internet and wrote the book: Patiëntencommunities op het web, Theorie en Praktijk [Patient Communities on the Web, Theory and Practice] with Astrid Ventevogel.
