Mieke Kox currently works as an assistant professor at the Law, Society and Crime department of the Erasmus University Rotterdam. Her mainly qualitative research focuses on migration controls, unauthorized migrants’ everyday lives, refugees’ home-making processes and transnational prisons. Mieke is co-chair of the Working Group Immigration, Citizenship and Crime of the European Society of Criminology and a member of the editorial board of Crimmigratie & Recht.
