Karel van der Leeuw

Karel van der Leeuw (1940-2015) was docent oosterse wijsbegeerte aan de UvA. Zijn specialiteit was confucianisme. Samen met Jan Bor stelde hij 25 eeuwen oosterse filosofie samen, het monumentale Nederlandstalige standaardwerk over oosterse filosofie. Daarnaast was Van der Leeuw medeoprichter van het Centrum voor Kinderfilosofie en de Europese Stichting voor Kinderfilosofie Sophia.
