Jas aan en gaan!
Opdrachten voor buitenschools leren
Out-of-school learning
Get some fresh air and practice Dutch at the same time – the language on offer outside the classroom is rich. This practical book shows how easy it is to use out-of-school learning in your language lessons. Jas aan en gaan! (Put on your coat and go!) contains 44 detailed lesson ideas. These range from doing grammar exercises outside on the street with sidewalk chalk to reporting something via the municipal website, in the digital 'outside'.
The outside is also brought inside, for example in an assignment in which students bring dishes to class. All assignments are worked out in step-by-step plans and are provided with tips and possibilities for variation and differentiation.
Overview of lesson ideas
The overview at the front of the book makes it easy to find a suitable assignment for your lesson based on characteristics such as the required lesson time, preparation time, CEFR level or skill to be practiced.
The website for this book includes worksheets for the assignments.
For every NT2 teacher
Put on your jacket and get going! was written for (future) NT2 teachers, but other language teachers can also use the lesson ideas in this book for inspiration.
