Woordwinst is a series of short stories designed for adult non-native speakers at the beginning stage of reading in Dutch. The stories are easy to read and adapted to the vocabularies of Boom NT2.

Hayat's family is in a thrift store. Hayat sees bikes. Her children and husband already have a bicycle, but she does not. But she can not cycle anyway. Right?

Hayat komt langs een rij fietsen
en blijft staan.
De fietsen zijn niet nieuw,
maar wel mooi.
Abdel, Marwan en Layla
hebben een fiets, maar zij
niet.
Ze kan niet fietsen.
