Summer is approaching! This means making vacation plans, packing suitcases, selecting campsites, comparing prices, and considering what to bring. Students make real calculations that have meaning.

Language skills in conversation and text

The assignments encourage collaboration and discussion. What would you recommend? Which date is best? Should you bring towels or rent them at the campsite? By discussing these questions, students also practice speaking and arguing. They expand their vocabulary and learn how to extract information from brochures, websites, or packaging.

Measuring, comparing, and maps

Other assignments are about carry-on luggage. Which suitcases are allowed? What are the maximum dimensions? Students compare suitcases and calculate whether they will fit under the seat. Using maps and scale drawings, students practice spatial awareness, calculating surface areas, and logical thinking.
